Gothic Halloween

This collection started with inspiration from early 1900s illustration, all those rich, swirling branch flourishes that feel like something out of a forgotten fairy tale.

My approach:

• I wanted the branches to feel alive and a little wild, inspired by antique book illustration, with crows circling through them ominously rather than sitting still

• Stars and small flowers tucked between the branches add an enchanting touch once you look closer

• One coordinate in the collection brings in a structured diamond pattern for a geometric edge against all that flourish
