The Crow and the Moon

Wanting to explore a richer, moodier palette than I usually reach for, Halloween gave me the perfect excuse.

My approach:

  • I wanted the crow perched on a stack of decorated pumpkins, set against a glowing full moon, to strike a balance between spooky and whimsical rather than leaning fully into either

  • Pattern play mattered here. I imagined the mix of designs across the pumpkins and night sky translating beautifully into puzzle pieces, each one feeling like its own small discovery

  • I aimed for that cozy, eerie feeling, the kind of Halloween mood that pairs well with candlelight and a chilly night in
