All is Calm

This piece came from wanting to capture a cozy winter night glowing with holiday lights, the kind that makes you want to bundle up and take a slow stroll through the park.

My approach:

• I created two versions of this piece, one with a pair of fuzzy hedgehogs tucked into the scene and one without, so it works equally well playful or classic

• Soft falling snow and the shimmer of lights were key to the mood I wanted, calm and a little magical rather than busy

• I like giving a design this kind of flexibility, the hedgehog version leans whimsical for cards and wrapping paper, while the plain version works cleaner for decor and prints

Good fit for: holiday cards, gift tags, home decor, and wrapping paper
